Design Works Pouch (Hoover):

Do you want to explore what Design Works can do for you?  Join Julie and Nancy on June 28 from 9-2 to make a pouch which can be used for storing makeup, sewing notions, craft items, etc.  If you have any portions of the Design Works, please bring it.  If you do not have Design Works, we will have one machine set up with cutwork, one machine set up with paint works, and one machine set up with crystal works.  You will still need to bring your machine and embroidery module, plus hoops for the embroidery part.  We only have room for 6 so sign up quickly.  Call 985-4212 to register. Cost is $20. Supply list will be available at time of registration.

Jellyroll Quilt

Join Melanie in a class making a Jellyroll Quilt - one that is so easy and quick to make.  You will learn how to add mitered borders and attach a perfect binding.  All you will need is a jellyroll, border fabrics, backing fabric and batting.  You may ask, "What is a Jellyroll?" - it is a group of pre-cut fabric strips measuring 2 1/2" wide and 40" long.  We will join these strips together, add our mitered borders and you will have a quilt top!  The next step is spray basting the quilt top to the batting and backing and you will add your quilting. Finally, you will learn how to attach a perfect binding.  A sample of this quilt is displayed at Robin's Shoppe at 280.

Moroccan Tiles Quilt

Coming in August, Melanie will be offering a new class to make a Moroccan Tiles quilt.  This is a beginner level quilt class that uses charm squares (5" squares) to make this attractive quilt.  Purchase of the pattern is required.  They will be available at Robins.  A sample of the quilt will be displayed in July at Robins Shoppe at 280.  So mark your calendar for these dates.
